Objective:To educate girls on menstrual hygiene and promote healthy practices.
On 1st February, 2024, WikiHausa Foundation partnered with Shurafa’u ats 24/4 and HCDT Foundation to organize a one-day lecture on girls’ hygiene and menstrual hygiene. The event, held at Alhiliyya Islamiyya in Warure, aimed to empower girls with knowledge on menstrual health and hygiene.
The Chairman of WikiHausa Foundation, Yasir Aminu Ado delivered a lecture on the physiology, anatomy, and pathology of menstruation. The presentation covered the basics of menstrual health, common myths and misconceptions, and best practices for maintaining hygiene during menstruation.
The event was well-attended, with enthusiastic participation from the girls. The lecture sparked interesting discussions and questions, demonstrating the girls’ eagerness to learn and understand this critical aspect of their health.
Following the lecture, the Manager of WikiHausa Rumasa’u delivered an appreciation speech, emphasizing the importance of seeking knowledge and answers to problems.
